Every era has its political issues and every election cycle has its main points of contention. So often we observe that the mass media hysteria and the tactics of the various political parties and their political action committee supporters shape the public perception and politics of the day. Indeed in the end all politics is local and personal. We witnessed divide and conquer strategies and Machiavellian primate politics, which bring out the worst innate characteristics of the human species. Some have noted that politics is a rotten way to run the societies and civilizations mankind and yet this is how it is done.
In 2005 we saw a re-emergence of conservative thinking and Christian Values, as the Presidential Elections continued to swing in that direction much to the chagrin of the Democrat Modern Liberal viewpoints. Although the margin of victory in 2004 was narrow, the Republican Party felt it had a mandate to continue to govern from its perspective.
Although 2005 has come and gone, we should take a look back at this year in politics and consider its implications, momentum and focus. It is important to look back on the politics of each year to see how that was affected by the past and how it affects the next. 2005 was a huge year in American Politics and the divide between ideals and perspectives widened greatly.
In this article we should also note other factors and look at the opposition party’s attacks on the President’s Administration and how the media was used to promote a further divide. We should discuss the implications of the verbal infighting that ensued and what it has done to our nation and how this eventually swung the pendulum back in the 2006 Midterm Elections.
In hindsight every thing is clearer. Yet in the middle of the sound and fury or chaos and controversy we see decisions were made, deals were brokered and policies shifted. I hope you will enjoy this topic on the Politics and Pure Opinions of 2005 with an open mind and understand the challenges created, overcome or grew.
I appreciate your taking the time to read this article because understanding human politics in the present period will help us understand how to become more efficient, more homogenous and better prepared to handle the crisis which lie ahead. Perhaps this article is of interest to propel thought in 2007?
