FTA (free to air) Receivers are taking the DSS Community by storm. FTA Satellite Receiver DSS-Testing is becomming more and more popular every single day. There are about four different FTA Receiver brands or companies which are leading the market today. The four major brands are Coolsat, Pansat, Viewsat, and SonicView FTA Receivers.


Pansat receivers include the Pansat 2300a, Pansat 2500a, Pansat 2700a, Pansat 3500s, and more. Pansat has been leading the way in FTA for years now. Pansat FTA Receivers are high quality and very reliable free to air receivers. Pansat's are easy to use and come complete with everything you need to get started right in the box.


Coolsat FTA Receivers include the Coolsat 4000 Pro, Coolsat 5000 Platinum and Coolsat 6000 Premium. All three of these FTA Receivers are great receivers for any DSS Tester. Coolsat FTA Receivers are famous for their simple and easy to navigate menu's and firmware. Coolsat's next release will be a High Definition FTA Receiver called the Coolsat 8000 HD which should be available very soon.


Viewsat FTA Receivers are also very popular and easy to use FTA Receivers. Viewsat has released the Viewsat VS2000 Platinum, Viewsat VS2000 XTREME, and the Viewsat Ultra. All three of these FTA Receivers are very good. Viewsat's are easy to program and are usually the first of the FTA Receivers to get back up watching Satellite TV before all the rest.


SonicView is more new then the other FTA Receiver companies. SonicView makes the SonicView SV-1000 which is a great little receiver for an FTA first-timer. Simple and easy interface along with high quality picture and sound the SonicView SV-1000 is growing in popularity every day.


Some other FTA Receivers out there include CaptiveWorks CW-600s, CaptiveWorks CW-600s Premium, Fortec, Ariza, Pantec, and more.
