Msn Virtual Earth

In the future there will be humans living on the surface of Mars in space colonies and because the Martian surface is so hostile and is void of oxygen most likely the humans will either live in underground communities or partial aboveground space colony habitats. Some of these people may never come back to Earth during their lifetime. It is for that reason that perhaps we should consider setting up virtual reality simulators so they do not get too homesick.

In these virtual reality simulators the user would be able to do things like simply going in your car down the street to the local Starbucks, playing a game of baseball, taking a ride at Disneyland or even getting on your Harley-Davidson and cruising to Sturgis for the annual motorcycle rally. This would keep humans in space colonies from going crazy.

Although spherical virtual-reality life may not be the same as real-life in the future, it might be so close that you could easily forget where you are. Am I suggesting designing the Matrix? Well, not exactly, as spherical life inside a virtual-reality chamber inside of a space colony would be an optional and rather pleasurable event. In fact, it would be easy for the people at the space colony on Mars to download footage and send it back to Earth.

This way people in the space colony could trade virtual-reality life experiences on earth and the people on earth could have virtual-reality simulator footage of life on Mars. In fact in a philosophical sense this might be good for all people in the world to trade their own life experiences for those of other people in other parts of the world. It could very much bring the world together in a common cause in the virtual world. Please consider this in 2006.
